ENERGY STAR qualified products and practices help you save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE. The ENERGY STAR label also designates superior energy performance in homes and buildings.

The DOMAIN Energy Star Homes Certification protocol consists of three basic parts:

DOMAIN reviews plans using nationally accredited software for how a home might perform once built. You will receive recommendations for cost-effective ways to meet Energy Star targets and help with evaluating alternatives.
Before and during construction, DOMAIN will guide builders and their sub-contractors in implementing processes and practices to attain your goals. This includes the required mid-construction inspections.
At completion, a required final verification including blower door test results in a HERS Rating, Ratings report, and Energy Star label.
